Our overwhelming marathon clinic is ON again! The Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association is proud to work with the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Watsons Water, New Balance Athletic Shoes (Hong Kong) Limited, Salonpas and Rexona to launch this clinic aimed at providing our runners a comprehensive guidance on how to properly prepare for their Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2010.

Characteristics of the Clinic
Staff members of Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (RS) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will provide a comprehensive training guidance to the participants. This includes a pre-training physical fitness assessment, training guides with three and four specific training workshops for the Intermediate and the Beginners respectively . Participants will also receive a tailor-made training schedule* pertaining to his/her fitness level and running experience.

*The training schedule is an on-line training log system that required the participants log onto the web to submit their training schedule. Physiotherapist from RS will monitor the progress of the participants to give advice at regular interval.

Apart from the comprehensive training guidance, participants can enjoy the different running experiences in the Marathon Clinic, including Watsons Water will set up a water station to provide water and Iso-Tone for the runners; New Balance will present the running souvenir pack to runners; Salonpas will set up a booth to dispatch the samples for participants to enjoy a Fast, Effective and Powerful Penetrating Pain Relief experience and Rexona will present a deodorant for participants to enjoy a fresh running experience.
